Shali Bogavelli, Senior Associate

I love the opportunity to bring together project technical requirements and teamwork.

Shali holds a BA in Government and Biology from Georgetown University and a MS in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University, with a focus on water resources. With over 10 years of experience in hydraulic and hydrologic evaluations, she has worked on a wide variety of projects across the country, including reservoir operations for the Willamette and Columbia River Basins, dam and levee breach analyses, development of Emergency Action Plans, hydraulic designs for dams and spillways, bridge replacement hydraulic designs, stormwater analysis, and floodplain delineation. She has also worked on large scale projects with the Portland District, Sacramento District, Seattle District, and Walla Walla District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Shali has developed strong written and verbal communication skills through working with biologists, planners, emergency management personnel, government officials, and the public. Shali has served as the President of the Women in Leadership Symposium and on the board of Women in Leadership. Outside of The Formation Lab, she enjoys volunteering, spending time outdoors, and traveling with her family.
